Thank you for considering the Farmec 4-Bale Kombi Feeder for your feed-out tasks. Our bestselling model the 4B – this is designed to handle 4 x 6 string silage bales at 1,250mm wide and we can offer a 250mm additional body for any loading alignment issues. Many of the feeders are sold with extension sides, which are supplied in 300mm increments with the biggest side being a full 900mm. This is ideal for maize silage, giving a bulk capacity of 16m³ (most common being 300mm or 9.5m³ level or 11m³ heaped).
What we have aimed to achieve is:
a functional machine that really works and is simple to use
strength, durability and longevity by design – so it can handle a hammering
a feeder that can handle different feed types and can pump it out
low maintenance and absolute minimum breakdowns
competitively priced and options to cater for different requirements
The 4B Kombi Feeder is designed to handle all types of material and present the crop to the animals in a condition that you will be satisfied with. The optimum row is achieved as we use the same load sensing hydraulic block used on the forage wagons. This allows the cross floor to stop and start automatically (hydraulic – not electric). Like all Farmec Feeder, also the 4B is bi-directional – so if things do go wrong, it’s easy to start again. This feeder well tested throughout New Zealand and is the result of years of collaboration with farmers and our engineers, so you can be assured that you are investing in the best gear available on the market.

Here are some of the unique features summarized:
Tub body using Corten non rust steel with variable side extensions
Will handle just about all types of feed with good capacity
Low centre of gravity but has good ground clearance
Heavy 3” pitch floor chain with bolt in RHS reinforced bars
Fully welded 200 x 100 section RHS chassis
A frame heavy duty drawbar with landing leg and fixed tow eye
40 mm bearings all guarded and full-length drive shafts
