These feeders are capable of all types of bales (round or square), as well as beet and fine chop silage if required. They are the most precise feeder on the market with the teasing elevator running on a separate hydraulic motor to the cross-floor motor. Combined with an adjustable controlled tilting elevator, the operator can achieve a desired row better than all with other feeders on the market.

Description

The 2-Bale Kombi Feeder is our smallest kombi feeder – carrying just 2 bales. However, they are self-loaded via the rear mounted loading forks that stab the bale (allows for easier wrap/net removal). The 2B Kombi is very popular for primarily squares, yet they can handle all rota chopped round bales and bales that are wet or oval. In fact, the 2B will feed out just about anything via the endless chain with 50mm teeth, aggressively ripping through any bale and turns square bale wads into a neat row of feed. When fitted with the top mounted retarder bar, the feeder ensures that big lumps are almost eliminated as they get thrown back into the mix. Big American hydraulic motors drive the feed out chamber, which can be optioned via a special load sensing hydraulic block (2 less remotes) or just operate direct to tractor if there’s an abundance of remote services on the tractor.

Features

  • Our 2 Bale Kombi Feeder models are self-loading. The forks have been designed to stab the bale allowing for easy removal of the net wrap. The loading frame is mounted to a quality 4” hydraulic cylinder, which allows for all tractors to load heavy bales. The self-loading forks allow a second bale to be transported on the same load – hence a 2-bale trailing feeder.
  • We have added a variable height tow-eye which ensures that the loading tines get the optimum angle under the bale, so the tractor drawbar height won’t matter.
  • The 3” pitch chain with bolt-on floor bars from reinforced RHS not only facilitates bi-directional feed but also add strength. With 6,800lbs of break strength this chain has certainly proven its worth.
  • All drives consist of 40mm bearings and full-length shafts, whilst the fully welded chassis 152 x 76 x 5mm section RHS is the basis of the heavy-duty construction. The ‘A’ frame drawbar gives massive strength and ensures no cracking even after thousands of bales. Fitted with a 70mm jack stand for the operator to attach with (landing leg is optional).
  • All Farmec feeders are bi-directional feed, so unlike other brands you can feed on either side on the machine.
  • Non rust 2.5mm Corten 350G steel floor with 4 x rub bars complements the design. As do features such as 2 wire hoses, high torque American Parker hydraulic motor, large axle and floatation wheels.
